Prohibited items and services
You may not post any ad that offers, requests or promotes the following, even indirectly or in coded language:
Weapons, ammunition and military equipment
Firearms, bladed weapons and their parts, ammunition and explosives, replica or convertible weapons, and military or security uniforms, insignia and equipment such as body armour and night-vision devices.
Drugs and controlled medicines
Narcotics and psychotropic substances, prescription-only or controlled medicines, drug paraphernalia, and unlicensed medicines or supplements.

Trading in antiquities is illegal under Syrian law. No archaeological objects, ancient coins, manuscripts, statues or mosaics, and no excavation services or devices for hunting antiquities or treasure.
Counterfeit and pirated goods
Fake branded goods, pirated software, films and books, and stolen or illegally shared accounts and subscriptions.
Stolen goods
Any stolen item or item of unknown origin, devices with tampered serial numbers (IMEI), and vehicles with a tampered chassis number or without proper papers.
Currency speculation and exchange
Offers to buy, sell or exchange foreign currency, currency speculation, and unlicensed money-transfer services.
Human trafficking and adult services
Any ad for selling or exploiting people, forced labour, smuggling people across borders, selling human organs, sexual services or pornographic content.
Protected wildlife
Endangered or protected wild animals and birds, their parts and products such as ivory and skins, and poaching equipment.
Hate and incitement
Content that incites violence, hatred or discrimination based on religion, sect, ethnicity, nationality or gender, political incitement, and propaganda for armed or terrorist groups.
Other people’s data and documents

Pyramid schemes and gambling
Pyramid and multi-level marketing schemes, “get rich quick” offers or investments with guaranteed returns, lotteries, betting and gambling.
Anything else that breaks the law
Any item or service that Syrian law forbids selling or advertising, or that needs a licence the advertiser does not hold.
Prohibited content and behaviour
- Misleading ads: a description, photos or price that do not match the real item, hiding major defects, or a fake price to attract attention.
- Duplicates and spam: posting the same ad more than once or in several categories or cities, deleting and reposting it to bump it up, or sending unwanted bulk messages.
- Impersonation: pretending to be someone else, an official body or a well-known company, or falsely claiming to be verified.
- Scam links: suspicious payment or “receive money” links, or luring users off the platform to defraud them.
- Abuse: insulting, threatening or harassing users in messages or ads.
Ad quality rules
- Real photos: use real photos of the actual item, not pictures copied from the internet, with no phone numbers, links or other sites’ logos on them.
- Correct category: choose the right category and city for your ad.
- Honest price in SYP: give the real price in Syrian pounds (SYP). You can mark it as negotiable, but do not enter a token or fake price.
- One item per ad: each ad is for one item or service; post a separate ad for each different item.
- Clear title and description: write a title that describes the item (type, brand, model) and an honest description of its condition and defects, without stuffing unrelated keywords.
- Correct contact details: use a phone number that belongs to you and on which you can be reached.
- Real estate: the advertiser must be the owner, an authorised agent or a real-estate office, and must say which in the ad.
- Jobs: the job must be real, and applicants must never be asked to pay any fee.
- Keep it current: when the item is sold, mark the ad as sold or delete it.
What happens when rules are broken
- The ad is rejected, hidden or deleted, with the reason explained where possible.
- The account is restricted or suspended, temporarily or permanently, for repeated or serious breaches.
- The competent authorities are informed where the breach is a crime under Syrian law, such as trafficking in weapons, drugs, antiquities or people.
- If your ad is rejected, you can fix it and resubmit it from your dashboard, or email ibra.m@hotmail.co.uk to ask us to review the decision.
Reporting a violation
If you see an ad or a user breaking these rules, press “Report” on the ad page or the user’s profile. Details are in how reporting works.
